Melaka polls: Anwar has met Pakatan election director, says Fahmi

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has met with Pakatan Harapan election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari to discuss various issues, including potential cooperation with Barisan Nasional in the upcoming Melaka state polls, says Pakatan communications director Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.

Fahmi told reporters on Monday (Aug 24) that the meeting took place the previous day but declined to elaborate on the matters discussed.

On Pakatan’s election strategy, Fahmi referred to Anwar’s remarks at the coalition’s congress in Melaka on Aug 16, where he stressed the need to win back party veterans while consolidating the coalition’s strength.
