Malaysians should be fluent in our national language, says Nga

Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming said fluency in Bahasa Melayu should not be an issue for Malaysians, regardless of whether they were educated in national or vernacular schools.

Describing himself as a product of a Chinese school, Nga said he speaks Malay well, responding to the King’s recent call for Bahasa Malaysia to continue receiving priority as the national language.
