Malaysian comedian Jamali Shadat dead at 79

Comedian Datuk Jamali Shadat passed away at 8.15am on Wednesday (Feb 3). He was 79.

Jamali became famous after his appearance on a TV talent show. His comedy skit centring on a small boy named Atan and his grandfather (both portrayed by Jamali) was especially popular in the 1980s.

He had acted in films like Aku Yang Berhormat and Mr Cinderella 2.
