Malaysia to extend insurance coverage to Singapore bound workers, says Ramanan

To ensure Malaysians employed in Singapore are protected beyond working hours, the Human Resources Ministry is developing a new insurance scheme that will also provide coverage during travel.

Its Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the scheme aims to ensure that nearly 400,000 Malaysians who cross the Johor Causeway daily are not left without social security protection after work.
