Mixed doubles shuttler Shevon Lai Jemie was down with fever but it did not stop her from giving her best with Goh Soon Huat to reach the Malaysia Open quarter-finals. They beat India’s world No. 34 Sathish Kumar Karunakaran-Aadya Variyath in the second round 21-10, 21-17.
Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun also pulled off an impressive 21-15, 21-13 win over Taiwan’s Lee Jhe-huei-Yang Po-hsuan to reach the men's doubles quarter-finals.
