Majority of senior citizens battling chronic disease, survey finds

Only about 14% of senior citizens are ageing well, while the majority battle chronic disease and frailty, says Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

He added that chronic diseases among the elderly are on the rise, with 39% having diabetes, 73% hypertension, and 76% high cholesterol.
