MACC probing 1,638 firms for abuse of hiring incentive claims worth RM45mil

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is looking into the involvement of 1,638 companies believed to be linked to employment incentive claims worth about RM45mil, following investigations into the alleged abuse of the Daya Kerjaya 2.0 programme.

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said the figure emerged from intelligence gathering and ongoing investigations, although the current operation is focused on 143 companies identified as being involved in fraudulent claims amounting to RM9mil.
