MACC detains two high-ranking CID officers

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani has confirmed the arrests of two high-ranking CID officers by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) but said they had not been officially informed by the anti-graft agency.

On allegations being made on social media that some police personnel were involved in phone scam syndicates, Acryl Sani said Bukit Aman's Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS) was currently investigating the matter.
