Los Angeles mayor declares emergency over warehouse fire

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has declared a local emergency as firefighters continue battling a massive warehouse fire that has burned for several days in the city's historic Boyle Heights neighbourhood.

The blaze erupted on Wednesday (June 17), engulfing the roof of a large warehouse near downtown Los Angeles before rapidly spreading across hundreds of solar panels installed on the building.
