Lorry driver in FRU crash acquitted of cow theft

The lorry driver facing a charge of dangerous driving that caused the deaths of nine Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) members was acquitted and discharged by the Teluk Intan Magistrate's Court on Monday (June 22) of a separate charge of assisting in concealing two stolen cows last year.

Magistrate Naidatul Athirah Azman made the ruling after finding that the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case against Rudi Zulkarnain Mat Radi, 46, at the end of the prosecution’s case.
