Loke: Flight ceiling prices between peninsula, Sabah, Sarawak maintained for Gawai, Kaamatan

The RM499 ceiling fare for flights between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak will remain in place for the upcoming Kaamatan and Gawai festivals despite the ongoing global supply crisis, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
Loke said the government would subsidise airlines to cover any additional costs above the RM499 cap, even if ticket prices surge due to supply constraints.
While acknowledging the move would increase government spending, he said the policy was aimed at easing the burden on travellers during the festive season.
