At least 2,000 Road Transport Department (JPJ) enforcement officers will be deployed to improve road safety during the Hari Raya Aidiladha holiday which begins on May 27, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

Using the “Perception of Being Caught” (POBC) approach, officers will be stationed at strategic locations and accident-prone areas to encourage cautious driving rather than issue summonses.

Loke added that here will be no roadblocks to avoid traffic congestion, while joint operations with police will include inspections of commercial vehicles, especially express buses, as well as medical and safety checks on drivers and buses before departure.
