Liow: More efforts made to increase number of local seafarers

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said efforts are being made to increase the number of local seafarers for Malaysian registered ships which are now manned mainly by foreign deckhands. He said this after launching the World Maritime Day celebration at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Tuesday.
