Lee on world championships setback: I lost focus

Speaking to the media on Saturday (Sept 24) for the first time after his setback in the BWF world championships in Tokyo last month, Malaysia’s number one men’s singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia said he has a lot to learn from his 19-21, 21-11, 19-21 defeat to China’s Zhao Junpeng in the third round, and these include how to stay focused during matches. After the defeat in the world meet, Lee also suffered a 20-22, 21-23 loss to India’s Kidambi Srikanth in the first round of the Japan Open.
