Leatherback turtle lays 81 eggs at Rantau Abang beach

A leatherback turtle has returned to Rantau Abang Beach in Terengganu and laid 81 eggs, less than two weeks after it was first recorded landing at Pasir Putih Beach in Marang.

Terengganu Fisheries Department director Pang Nyukang said the turtle was believed to have landed between 1.30am and 2.30am on Sunday (Sept 13).
