KL Monorail guide tyre catches fire near Chow Kit station

A guide tyre from a KL Monorail enroute to the Titiwangsa station caught fire Tuesday (Dec 19) afternoon, forcing passengers to disembark the train.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said in a statement that firefighters were deployed to the site and extinguished the fire, adding that no victims were involved, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
