Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin, who holds the shadow Finance Ministry portfolio, on Thursday unveiled Barisan Nasional’s alternative budget, titled ‘People's Economic Initiative’, which seeks to reintroduce the GST, among others, at 3% and estimated that the revenue collected under the lower rate would be about the same as SST.
