KJ: Over 18,000 healthcare workers down with Covid-19, 6% absent rate

A total of 18,354 healthcare workers in the country are down with Covid-19 while 1,066 of them are close contacts, said Khairy Jamaluddin.

The Health Minister said that on Thursday (Mar 24), added that the daily rate of absenteeism involving healthcare workers had exceeded 6% since March 4.

Khairy also said the proposed measure on recalling healthcare workers before the end of their quarantine period was approved on March 15, but assured that the decision would not affect the health of hospital patients.
