The Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) is distributing food baskets to 22,000 needy Indian families nationwide for the Deepavali celebration on Nov 8.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the initiative, under the Madani Daily Essentials Contribution Programme, aims to ease families' financial burden as they prepare to celebrate the Festival of Lights.
