So close yet so far for Leong Jun Hao. The men’s singles shuttler gave world No. 9 Li Shifeng of China a tough fight in the second round of the World Championships in New Delhi on Aug 19, but his best was still not enough to pull off an upset.

K. Letshanaa's campaign also ended in the women's singles second round after losing to world No. 3 Wang Zhiyi of China 16-21, 9-21.
