JPJ: 2,665 summonses issued to foreign drivers nationwide since Nov 1

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) issued 2,665 summonses against foreign drivers for various offences since the implementation of the Special Integrated Operation on Public Service Vehicles on Nov 1.

JPJ Senior Enforcement Director Datuk Lokman Jamaan said among the common transgressions were driving without a valid licence, misuse of private vehicles for commercial purposes and technical violations such as bald tyres.
