Ipoh cops bust online gambling syndicate, eight arrested

Police arrested eight locals for promoting online gambling in a house that had been converted into a call centre in Ipoh, Perak.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz said the eight, six men and two women aged between 19 and 25, were arrested on Wednesday (Sept 30).
He said they had been in operations for about a month, with the main website based in China.
