The Pindad SS1-V1, an Indonesian-made assault rifle was tested alongside other combat rifles from established manufacturers in Hawaii, the USA during a joint exercise between military forces in the Pacific Rim.
Rounds fired from the SS1-V1 at a distance of 25-metres penetrated a body armor worn by the US Marines, winning admiration from armies from other nations.
