A light moment broke out while lawmakers were debating on the tabling of a special motion to compel the MPs to declare their assets in Parliament on Monday when Pengerang MP Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said questioned whether the government was afraid to create a new law or amend the MACC Act.

Several opposition MPs had said they will not declare their assets to the Dewan Rakyat, claiming that the manner in which the motion was raised in the house is not according to law.
