Hubbul watan should be expressed through ta'ayush, says Zulkifli

The spirit of hubbul watan (love for the country) should be expressed by embracing ta'ayush, the principle of living together harmoniously in a multireligious and multiracial society, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan.

He said the teachings of Prophet Muhammad emphasised maintaining ties with all people through ukhuwwah insaniyyah, or human brotherhood, while Muslims share the strong bond of ukhuwwah Islamiyyah.
