Hit the road running, no honeymoon period, new ministers told

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has told new ministers there will be no honeymoon period, and they must begin their duties immediately.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the statement was made at Wednesday’s first Cabinet meeting following the reshuffle.

He added that a Cabinet retreat is scheduled for January, and the Prime Minister urged ministers to be thorough in their decisions and consider the input of officers and civil servants.
