Higher Education Ministry monitoring Malaysian students in Iran

The Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) is closely monitoring the situation of Malaysian students currently in Iran to ensure their safety and well-being, says Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.
Speaking at a press conference after the Asean Higher Education Ministers’ Roundtable Conference on Thursday (June 19), Zambry said the ministry has so far identified seven Malaysian students in Iran but the exact number remains uncertain, as some are believed to be there under self-sponsorship and may not be officially registered.
