High expectations for budget 2027 despite limited resources, says Anwar

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says expectations for Budget 2027 remain high despite limited resources, with the budget set to address issues including inequality, technology, social concerns and economic development.

Speaking at the International Future Conference 2026 on Monday (Sept 28), Anwar also stressed that Malaysia’s push into AI and digital transformation must remain grounded in ethics, culture and societal values.
