Healthy Ministry to continue Flying Doctor Service, says Dr Dzul

The Flying Doctor Service (FDS) will continue providing healthcare to rural and remote areas as it remains crucial to ensuring access to care, says Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday (Sept 9), Dzulkefly said the ministry relies on outsourced helicopters as it does not own any.

Meanwhile, Health director-general Datuk Dr Mahathar Abd Wahab said scheduled FDS services will be reviewed following the Sarawak crash.
