Health DG: PPE supply can only last for two weeks, more donations welcome

The supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers who are in contact with Covid-19 patients can last for at least another two weeks, says Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed that when asked during his daily update on the disease on Monday and highlighted that the usage of PPE among hospitals across the nation has risen by two to 10 times more than normal consumption.

As such, The Health DG said it is crucial for his ministry to continue to procure the PPE supply, adding that more donations of PPEs to the ministry are welcome.
