Schools and kindergartens need not be closed in Kedah but all common areas must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent the spread of Covid-19, says Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The Health director-general said that on Thursday (July 30), adding that to date, 143 people have been screened from the cluster, with six positive cases found, another 67 were negative, while another 70 still pending results.

Dr Noor Hisham also said there have been no clusters identified yet involving the Sabah primary school pupil who was Covid-19 positive.

He said there were two Covid-19 cases involving schoolchildren in Sabah, but this was not classified as a cluster.
