The Health Ministry has detected 180 Covid-19 cases from the Kuala Lumpur wholesale market cluster as at noon on Tuesday.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed that during his daily Covid-19 update, adding that of the 180 total cases, 100 cases were detected in enhanced movement control order areas.
Dr Noor Hisham also said the wholesale market cluster was related to the Seri Petaling tabligh cluster as the former’s index case had attended the religious gathering.
The Health DG said traders or wholesalers who want to do business or enter the Kuala Lumpur wholesale market premises are required to undergo Covid-19 screening tests, adding that his ministry and other agencies had identified the traders that deal with people in this cluster.
