Guilty! Ex-Sabah Water Dept director gets 96 years jail, fined RM284 mil

Former Sabah State Water Department director Ag Mohd Tahir Mohd Talib has been sentenced to 96 years in jail and fined RM284.3 million after being convicted of 12 money laundering charges involving over RM45 million.
Judge Abu Bakar Manat handed down eight years' jail per charge, to run concurrently, with fines running separately and a default jail term of 78 months if unpaid.
