Grandaunt, father of disabled girl charged with murder, neglect

The grandaunt and the father of a five-year-old disabled girl were charged in the Selayang courts on Thursday in connection with the death of the girl in Gombak last year.

55-year-old Ipzuma Ambo, an Indonesian who works as a maid, was charged with the murder of her grandniece at a house in Kampung Sungai Chinchin, Gombak between Dec 28 and 30 last year while the victim's father, Roza Iskandar Mardi, pleaded not guilty to neglect of his daughter, which resulting in her suffering physical injuries.
