The government will review whether penalties for hit-and-run offences should be increased, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke, as it steps up efforts to tackle drink-driving and illegal street racing.

Loke encouraged motorists to install dashboard cameras to assist police investigations, while saying enforcement against drink-driving would be more targeted, particularly during weekends. He also highlighted proposed heavier penalties for offenders and measures to ensure accident victims receive compensation.
