Govt to allocate RM7mil to stimulate biotech industry, says PM

A total of RM7mil will be allocated to stimulate the development of the biotechnology industry which includes an allocation for international conferences, says the Prime Minister.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that during the launching event of National Biotechnology Policy 2.0 on Monday (Sept 12), adding that the allocation included RM5mil for the Bio-based Accelerator (BBA) programme, as well as RM2mil for the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (Mosti) to organise BioMalaysia.
