Govt increasing gas production, RON95 to stay at RM1.99, says Anwar

Malaysia will maintain RON95 petrol at RM1.99 per litre despite rising global oil prices driven by Middle East tensions, with supply expected to last until May, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Speaking at a Ramadan programme with Permatang Pauh community leaders in Bukit Mertajam, Penang on Friday (March 20), Anwar also said the government has coordinated with the Cabinet, National Security Council, and Petronas to ensure stability, while engaging with world leaders to promote peace.
