Govt increases Kelantan development allocation to RM8bil, says Anwar

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Saturday (April 18) announced that the Federal Government’s development allocation for Kelantan will be increased to RM8bil, up from RM3.19bil previously.

Speaking at the Kelantan Keadilan Mini Convention 2026 in Kota Baru, Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said the boost reflects the Madani Government’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people in the state.

To enhance employment opportunities for youths, Anwar said he had chaired a meeting with government-linked companies to formulate additional measures to create jobs for college and university graduates, as well as those in Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
