Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil reiterated the government's commitment to safeguarding the welfare of media practitioners in the country.

At the launch of the Malaysian Code of Ethics for Journalists on Tuesday (Feb 20), Fahmi also urged the Information Department to intensify initiatives benefiting the group, and mentioned a meeting with Human Resources Minister Steven Sim to ensure stringers' welfare was protected.
