Govt committed to boosting women entrepreneur-owned companies, says Tengku Zafrul

The number of companies owned by women entrepreneurs in Malaysia is still low compared to other Asean countries, at only about 20 percent or 210,000 companies out of the total number of enterprises in the country.
Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said the government, through the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), will strive to increase this percentage through various new programs and policies.
