Govt cancels 114 approved permits for importing plastic

Energy, Green Technology, Science and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin said the ministry has revoked 114 approved permits (AP) to import plastic in the country as the AP holders were found to be abusing their permits. She also said her ministry is working with the Housing and Local Government Ministry on finalising a new blacklist of plastic operators. The Bakri MP also gave out a stern warning saying that those who breach the law or pollute the environment will be charged in court.
