Gojek founder faces 18 years in prison over alleged corruption

Indonesian prosecutors have called for an 18-year jail sentence against Nadiem Makarim, co-founder of Gojek and former education minister, over his alleged role in a corrupt Chromebook procurement scheme during the COVID-19 pandemic that caused an estimated $125 million in state losses.
