German rescuers dig path in Baltic Sea to free stranded humpback whale

Efforts to free a humpback whale stranded off Germany’s Baltic Sea coast continued on Thursday (March 26), three days after it was first spotted in shallow waters on Monday (March 23).
Rescuers are dredging a channel and deploying buoys to guide the dredger, creating a clear passage for the whale to return to deeper waters.
