Five Chinese nationals among 15 fined for online job scam targeting US victims

Fifteen members of an online job scam syndicate that targeted victims in the United States were fined by the Johor Baru Magistrate's Court on Wednesday (Sept 30) after pleading guilty to criminal conspiracy to commit cheating.

Nine local men were fined RM3,500 each, while six others, including five Chinese nationals, were fined RM4,200 each.
