Family pays off RM200k of eldest son's debt, but loan sharks persist

A family from Penang made the heart-breaking decision of severing ties with the eldest son as they have been harassed by loan sharks after he borrowed money to keep up with his gambling habit.

MCA Public Services and Complaints Department chief Datuk Seri Michael Chong said the family had been enduring harassment from the loan sharks since Aug 12.
