Fahmi: Clearing of illegal temples must be done with local authorities, not by private individuals

The clearing of illegal temples on private or state land must be carried out in coordination with local authorities, not by private individuals, said government spokesman Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

Speaking at his weekly press conference, Fahmi said Friday’s Cabinet meeting (Feb 13) discussed the Selangor National Security Council’s measures to address encroachment and unauthorised places of worship, and welcomed the Menteri Besar’s move to streamline processes at the local authority level.
