Electricity rebate, discount subject to govt's financial position, says Takiyuddin

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said any consideration for rebates or discounts on electricity bills in the future is subject to the government's financial position.

He said this when winding up the debate on the 12th Malaysia Plan in response to a proposal by Setiu MP Shaharizukirnain Abdul Kadir for the government to extend the electricity bill discount to domestic consumers as well as micro, small and medium enterprises until December.
