Education ministry should speak up on UM fracas, says Dr Wee

MCA president and Ayer Hitam MP said Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik and his deputy Teo Nie Ching should speak up to help resolve the recent Universiti Malaya (UM) fracas.

Dr Wee said this when asked to comment on student activist Wong Yan Ke who protested against UM vice-chancellor Datuk Abdul Rahim Hashim during the graduation ceremony for allegedly making racist comments.

Wong is being investigated for intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace.
