ECRL's targeted December opening: Press given tour of CIT run

The proponent for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project, Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL), has put in place a multimillion ringgit piece of equipment to speed up the inspection process leading up to the opening of the railway line that connects the Gombak with Kota Baru, Kelantan.

Called the comprehensive inspection train (CIT), this train is fitted with an array of sensors to measure parameters related to track engineering, traction power supply, and the signalling and communication system.
