Economy Ministry duties to be temporarily assigned to a minister, says Anwar

A minister will be appointed to temporarily assume the duties of the Economy Ministry following Rafizi Ramli’s impending resignation, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

When asked on Monday (June 16) whether Rafizi’s resignation—set to take effect on Tuesday—had been accepted, Anwar merely responded by saying the effective date had “yet to expire.”

When asked about the status of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Anwar said no decision has been made at this time.
